It’s hot and summer is officially here. You could see different advertisement and promotions of numerous resorts and recreational places all over the Metro. I’m pretty sure Backpackers, Families, Barkadas and Lakwatsera‘s are going loko buying their travel stuffs.

There are many famous summer destinations and I could only say so much. Places like Pangasinan, Zambales, Palawan, and Boracay. I’m glad local and national institutions is doing the effort to preserve their beauties. I also commend our government for promoting Philippines as a summer destination to international tourists.

In this post, I’ll share with you ten activities for athletic beach bum this summer.

Swimming. Ever since I started swimming when I was five, this activity is one of the closest to my heart. It’s easy and I basically don’t need to buy anything to swim. Of course I need my swim wear, silly.

Snorkeling. When I visited Hundred Islands last year, I tried Snorkeling. The Snorkel allowed me to stay underwater for an extended period of time and it let me observe underwater attractions. And while underwater, I enjoyed swimming while seeing a school of fish swim with me. To try this, you just have to buy or rent a Snorkel.

Free Diving. I subconsciously do this when I’m in our pool. I never really tried this in deep waters. I want to know how long can I hold my breath and how far can I dive underwater.

Banana Boating. If you like the idea of sitting in a banana-like boat and that boat being pulled until you fall into the water then try this. It’s fun with friends!

Bodyboarding. I never really tried this one but it’s one of my goal this summer.

Parasailing or Parascending. If you’re the person who loves to go to the beach to be alone then I recommend that you try this one. When you ascend to the top you’ll feel alone and the serenity of the sky. You’ll get to enjoy the scenic cruise of the area, too. If you want, you can bring your favorite book at the top and read it there but it’ll cost you around a thousand per hour.

Ultimate or Ultimate Frisbee. Ultimate is played with a flying disc. It’s kind of troublesome but it’s also fun!

Sepak Takraw. I played this one before but not at the beach. Try this with friends and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Beach volleyball. Bring in a volleyball and let’s spike it hard!

Patintero. This one’s my favorite and it’s for the barkada! My friends and I played this at Tundol and it was so fun!

How about you? What do you this when you’re at the beach? Pass it out below!

Oh, if you like the idea of enjoying the finest sands of Boracay for free then I suggest you visit the website of Century Tuna Supords Contest.

I have only three days left of my summer vacation. Come Monday, start of another hell term na naman.. syempre, kahit paano masasabi kong masaya ang maikli kong bakasyon; I’ll start this blog by telling you why my summer vacation, although short, was fun!

I’d like to to tell everyone that last week, our friend Melissa had a successful delivery to her I-don’t-know-name baby girl (Anya). Congratulations Andy and Mel!

Yeye, Gio’s girlfriend invited me, Jay and Jose to Dad’s Vineyard to celebrate her birthday with her friends. It was loads of fun and we really enjoyed ourselves!

I got to surf the net just like old times ( for 12+ hrs in a day), which I really missed.

I got to chat with friends in phone, IM or text messages.

I got to watch TV.

Enjoy with my family.

Go out with friends.

I also had the chance to go to numerous Microsoft events especially the unforgettable Asia Security Roadshow where the popular security expert Steve Riley talked about IP Security.

I got my first domain, lucindofabian.com. Web administration takes a lot of time but I’m loving it.

Full of hope for my Microsoft certification exam.

Lastly, I like this summer vacation because I liked how the summer swimming lesson ended.

Like every other summer vacation nagiging sensei ako ng mga bata, matanda, girl, boy, bakla, tomboy, butiki, baboy.. ewan.

I enjoyed while teaching them, makukulit sila pero sumusunod.

Merong nakataas ang puwet habang lumalangoy, merong laging kapos ang hininga, merong hirap sa frog kick ( o di lang ako magaling magturo? ). I remember the first time we had the lesson, it was like 11:15 am and the sun is up high nung natapos kami, sobrang init na nun and namumula na ung balat ko, pero OK lang kasi the experience was fun. I don’t even know what there names were ’til bago kami umahon. Si Angeline ung maingay, si Angel ung palatawa na malikot, at si Michelle ung simpleng makulit.

Cute sila lahat, masarap kausap, masarap kasama. In short, kalog! Pati tita and ate nila OK din kasama. Kaso, di ko pa alam mga pangalan nila. We talked about families, hobbies and favorites.

Michelle, Angeline, Angel, Ate-nila-Mich-and-Angel, Tita-nila-Mich-and-Angel and Jhed thanks for a friend in you guys. See ya all around, ayt? =)

So, there! At the end of the day my short summer vacation is, after all, F U N.
