The Table Tennis Tournament of NCAA’s 87th season opened yesterday at Mapua Gymnasium. If I remember it correctly, the last time Mapua hosted the tournament was back in SY 2006. Alvin Patrimonio played for the Mapúa Institute of Technology Cardinals in the NCAA from 1983 to 1986. He entered the PBA in 1988.
Kelvin Dela Pena played for Mapua Cardinals from 2005 to 2008 before being selected as 15th overall pick in 2008 PBA Rookie Draft.

San Beda Sea Lions San Beda Red Sea Lions once again drew strength from Theody Gavino when they won their ninth straight swimming title in the Seniors Division of NCAA Swimming Tournament. San Beda’s nine-year reign is the longest since the Mapua Splashing Cardinals collected 17 straight swimming titles.
The University of Perpetual Help Atlas suffered it’s second loss in as many games this afternoon at The Arena in San Juan against the San Sebastian Stags with the final score of 69-73.
