SM North Edsa Celebrates Chinese New Year

Last Sunday, SM North Edsa unveiled their Chinese New Year theme for 2012. There were Wushu demonstrations, Chinese Symphony Orchestra, Dragon and Lion Dance, Chinese icons collectors exhibit (featuring Bruce Lee and Jet Li), Chinese charms and ornaments bazaar, Chinese Delicacies bazaar by Polland, and Chinese cultural dolls exhibit.

The event was hosted by Chris Tiu. Richard Yap (Papa Chen Sy of My Binondo Girl) also joined the event as a Chinese Emperor.

Last Monday, SP and I went to SM North Edsa and experienced North Pole Christmas.

Grand Festival of Lights Parade and Firefly Singing Christmas Tree

In celebration of the Yuletide season, SM Mall of Asia started its annual Grand Festival of Lights Parade and Firefly Singing Christmas Tree yesterday, November 26. It will run every Saturday and will end on Christmas Day.

Grand Festival of Lights showcases themed floats covered in dazzling lights accompanied by performers in full whimsical costumes, singing and dancing, in an orchestrated unison. The floats will converge in the Seaside Boulevard by the Choir Christmas Tree, where chorale performers singing popular Christmas carols.

84th NCAA Table Tennis Tournament

This year’s NCAA Table Tennis Tournament will open this Saturday, January 31, 2009. Games will be played at the Colegio de san Juan de Letran Gymnasium.

Philippine Christian University have a team this year. Bannered by Japeth Adasa, PCU was the Champion in the Men’s Division in the 82nd NCAA Table Tennis Tournament before being suspended last year.

Spying Over Burn After Reading

Nuffnang has a little something for us - A Movie Premiere titled Burn After Reading.

I’d like to watch the movie because I am a movie sucker. Most importantly, I’d like to watch this movie because if I do, I get to see the world’s sexiest men ( Clooney and Pitt ) in the funniest spy film of the year!

Vicente Hao Chin Memorial Cup Sr. National Inter-scholastics Table Tennis Championships

As part of our training program, in preparation for the 84th NCAA Table Tennis Tournament, the Mapua Table Tennis Team joins other schools, colleges, and universities in the Vicente Hao Chin Memorial Cup Sr. National Inter-scholastic Table Tennis Championships.

This five-day event which is organized by the Ateneo Athletics Office and UP College of Human Kinetics started yesterday, October 20 at the Blue Eagles Gym and will end on October 24.

Taste Asia Oktoberfest 120

Yesternight, I was with my South Spiral friends at Taste Asia at the Mall of Asia for the Oktoberfest 120 Bloggers Party.

My friends and I came around a quarter before seven (7) when there was virtually no people around yet. I took some pictures and waited for the party to start.

This was the second bloggers party that I went to and as expected, it was a blast!

Taste Asia offered us good food. Bloggers feasted and drank loads of San Miguel Beer!

There were numerous contests and San Miguel was so generous in giving prizes. Cellphones and MP3 Players were raffled away last night, including jackets and ice buckets. My friends Jason and Jay was about to leave when Jason was called in and won an ice bucket. That made them think twice to leave early. Haha!

Sorry, my cam’s not working fine last night. I know it’s a bad shot.

The house was rocked when Moonstar88 jumped in and joined us, they sang good music which includes Torete. We were four feet away from the band and my camera was busy recording their music. Too bad my camera died on me, though.

As the party ended, we asked Maychelle Baay of Moonstar88 if we can have a picture with her and we’re glad she did not refuse. She’s so accommodating and she’s all smiles.

San Miguel really knows how to put a party, they even had us bring home some cans of beer and a bag of chips. Though I do not drink, I really enjoyed the party!

Big thanks to Ma’am Aileen Apolo, Taste Asia at the Mall of Asia, Mall of Asia, Moonstar88, and San Miguel for that fun night! Sa mga sponsors ko rin nga pala – Nike. Joke!
