“I’ve surrendered that to God. I’m not in a battle with what everybody else thinks anymore,” said Jeremy Lin.

There’s a good chance you’ve heard the name Jeremy Lin. And you know you want to know more than just his name.

Born on August 23, 1988 as Jeremy Shu-How Lin, he is an American professional basketball player with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) .

Before joining the NBA, Lin played for Harvard University, where as a student-athlete, finished his career as the first player in the history of the Ivy League to record at least 1,450 points (1,483), 450 rebounds (487), 400 assists (406) and 200 steals (225). Despite his achievements, he went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Jeremy was then offered to play for his hometown Golden State Warriors, his favorite team growing up. But Golden State Warriors waived Lin on the first day of training camp. Then on December 12, 2011, Lin was claimed off waivers by the Houston Rockets but before the start of the 2011 season, the Rockets waived Lin.

Due to an injury to guard Iman Shumper, the New York Knicks claimed Lin off waivers on December 27 to be a backup behind Toney Douglas and Mike Bibby.

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, one of the world’s leading Chinese Bistro brings signature dining experience to the Philippines.

The Scottsdale-based Asian restaurant chain P.F Chang’s China Bistro will open its first branch in the Philippines at the Alabang Town Center on January 19, 2012.

Manila-based foodies will be able to savor the restaurant’s tantalizing array of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, noodles, rice, vegetables, and desserts.

The new restaurant, like all of its other branches, will feature a contemporary Chinese design complemented with a panoramic, hand-painted mural depicting ancient China.

Founded in 1997, Global Restaurant Concepts Inc. has focused on casual dining service in the Philippines. Global Restaurant Concepts Inc. acquired the Philippine franchise for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro.

“We continue to selectively seek out great partners to help us offer our dining experience to other countries around the world,” said Mike Welborn, president of global brand development for the U.S.-based Chinese restaurant chain.
