What do you enjoy most about blogging as an Athlete?
Blogging as an athlete is going to be a great experience because it gives us a chance to connect to our friends, fans and the running community that we are often away from. I remember looking up to the great middle distance runners when I was younger and wondering what their lives were like. How did they train, how did running create or tip the balance in their livelihoods, what did they eat, were things like ice cream and chocolate chip cookies totally off limits, etc.?

Sharing our journey with others will help forge and strengthen the bond between athletes who are on this medal stand quest and their supporters.

What is the best moment of your sports career?
Winning the World Championships has been my greatest moment in track and field thus far. I passed the world record holder (and runner that I admired most in track and field) in the last 50 meters to win the title. The elation I felt that evening is something I wish everyone could experience at least once in their lifetime.

What are you most looking forward to in Beijing?
This will be my first Olympic team so I imagine everything about the Beijing Games will be exciting. If I have to choose one aspect though, racing for an Olympic gold medal would have to be it.

Anything else we need to know about you?
A few of my favorite things to do are meeting people from diverse backgrounds, surfing, playing chess, and cooking.
