I thought Philippine Bodybuilding was a dead sport. I admit I am not a frequent follower of the sport but ultimately, my idea for the sport was wrong.

I was enlightened when I heard the news about our great Roderick “Jerick” Ternida. Jerrick became the first Filipino Middle Weight Division Champion at 172-pounds and captured the Overall Championship in the US Musclemania Universe competition.

Roderick “Jerick” Ternida also won the lightweight division at 148 lbs. of the Musclemania World in Redondo Beach, California, USA last November 15, 2003.

Jerick also won second place in the Lightweight division at the Musclemania Superbody 2004 held at Radisson Deauville Resort, Miami Beach, Florida, USA on June 4-6, 2004.
