Were you a varsity player during your elementary and high school days?
I became a varsity player in my previous school (Philippine Pasay Chung Hua Academy) since I was in grade 5. But I didn’t had a formal and consistent training because every year then I had different coaches. I joined YMCA table tennis club in Binondo when I was first year and trained there for the whole summer. Then came 2nd year, this was the last year I played table tennis during my HS days because my coach retired his job. So, 3rd year I became a volleyball player. But when I entered AdMU, I chose table tennis as my PE, and when my teacher saw me play, he insisted that I should go try out for the team. And yes, I was accepted as a team A member. Until now (On my 2nd yr in college) I’m still playing for the Ateneo table tennis team.

What’s your course? Are you enjoying it? When you were a kid, what do you want to be? Are you fulfilling it? Or do you have plans of fulfilling it in the future?
I’m currently taking BS ECE. But I was a computer science student during my first year in AdMU. Yes, I am so enjoying ECE. I really want to be a Civil Engineer, pero O.K. na rin ang ece, I’m liking it na. Yes, im fulfilling my dreams, and to become an engineer, haha!

Is it hard balancing academics and athletics at the same time? How’s your studies?
During my HS days super hindi. But when I came into AdMU, ang takaw sa oras ’cause we have formal training here. During my first year I had a little difficulty sa time management pero ngayon nakapag-adjust nako.

Any lucky charm? Where’d you get it?
I always wear my bracelet though its not allowed. Haha! My bestfriend gave it to me.

Who are the players you look up to or any idols?
Sa table tennis, our very own miss Emily Tanaka. I love how she plays and she’s really great!
Sa volleyball, our very own miss Bello. I want to be a good setter just like her.
